Qridi Ltd: Survey research about practises, experiences and digital tool usage related to school assessment
Customer goal
Qridi provides schools and teachers with digital assessment tools. In the spring 2021, they wanted to implement a survey focusing on the assessment related practises, experiences and support/training needs of subject teachers teaching the seventh, eighth and ninth grades. Additionally, one crucial theme was to study the usage of digital tools as well as the teachers’ needs for assessment related tools. The research project was implemented by BeanBakers Ltd.
What we did
Together with Qridi, the BeanBakers’ researchers prepared an online questionnaire. It was possible to answer the questionnaire both in Finnish and in Swedish. Prior to the data collection, the questionnaire was piloted by collecting feedback from the subjects of the target group. Altogether 64 teachers responded to the survey. The questionnaire consisted of both multiple-choice and open-ended type of questions. We analysed the data by using statistical and qualitative methods.
Outcomes
As an outcome of the research project, Qridi got information utilizable in many ways, to support the product development and marketing. We prepared an editable report to be used in multipurpose situations as well as a compact summary in which we presented the key results and observations. In future, the results can be utilized along with product and service development and design processes. By enabling this research project, Qridi has also been along producing valuable information about the phenomena of the assessment.
