Harjoittelumylly: Coordination of maritime industry internship placements concisely and effortlessly
HarjoitteluMylly operates as a coordinator for maritime industry vessel internship placements. The client already had an electronic tool in use, intended to connect maritime internship positions with interns and to coordinate internship periods. However, the tool required development in terms of both usability and appearance. As a result of the design work, it was concluded that the best solution was to revamp the entire technology.
Experts from BeanBakers stepped in to help, and the work began with UX design. The design took into account all different users to ensure smooth usage for everyone. The goal was to create a highly user-friendly service for both shipping companies and vessels offering internship positions, internship applicants, those selected for internships, and system administrators. The aim was to have an easy-to-use appointment scheduling system that would make it simple to coordinate internship positions and their schedules.
It was decided that transferring data from the old system wasn't worthwhile – a more sensible approach was to start completely from scratch. By placing an emphasis on usability from the start, a practical and efficient service was successfully created. Based on user feedback, HarjoittelyMylly developed by BeanBakers is easy to use and intuitive. The services are conveniently located, and the website additionally functions as a tool for communication. Managing information has become uncomplicated, allowing every user to effortlessly input essential details and locate pertinent information.
